Full Moon Yoga at Alderbrook Resort and Spa

About the Event:

Details: Celebrate the full moon at our cozy candlelight yoga class at 7 pm!

This 90-minute class includes an all levels full moon theme yoga practice with mantra designed to balance the energy centers (chakras) and connect with the full moon. We end the class with yoga Nidra meditation (yogic sleep) to ease our way into the evening. Class is led by Michelle Pugh, owner of Joonbug Yoga!

The resort supplies a lovely infused water and yoga mats for use during the class or bring your own yoga props for additional comfort.

Class is open to everyone and pre-registration is required. No drop-ins due to space limitations.

Register for the Myofascial Release Workshop!

About the Event:

Start the new year with myofascial release yoga class at the Civic Center!

This nourishing class will help to improve mobility, enhance recovery and increase range of motion by targeting deep muscle tension, leaving you feeling like you’ve had a massage. We will combine gentle yoga postures with self-applied massage rolling using yoga therapy balls for support to release restrictions in the fascia (connective tissue). Michelle is certified in Yoga for Myofascial Release through Twist Yoga School.

Details: Joonbug Yoga will supply the yoga therapy ball sets for use during class or bring your own. Please bring a yoga mat, blanket, or additional yoga props for added comfort. Beginners are welcome!

Classes are led by Michelle Pugh from Joonbug Yoga! Each class will begin with a 30 minute yoga session, followed by a 60 minute herbal first aid kit workshop.

For this class, participants will be making herbal infused honey with anti-inflammatory.

For this class, participants will be making an herbal tea blend to help with restless sleep, create calm and soothe anxiety symptoms.

About the Event:

Spring into wellness on the shores of Hood Canal at Alderbrook Resort and Spa!

Details: Welcome the Spring season with this all levels yoga class that includes a 60 minute yoga class, aromatherapy and guided meditation with a Spring theme designed to inspire!

After the yoga session, we will gather together to make a Spring herbal take-home tea with locally harvested native plants including stinging nettle! The tea we are making together will be served throughout the class to aid our body, mind and spirit with strength, power-packed vitamins and detoxification as we prepare for the Spring season together in wellness!

Date: Saturday, April 25th, 2026

Time: 6 pm to 7:30 pm

Cost: $65/person (includes take-home herbal products)

Yoga Classes

Evening All Levels Yoga at the City of Shelton Civic Center

About the Event

This class is open to beginners and offers an all levels yoga experience and led by Michelle Pugh. Please bring a yoga mat, water bottle and any additional yoga props for added comfort. We have some additional yoga mats for use during class. All levels of experience welcome and modifications are offered throughout the class. We lock the front door to the Civic Center at 6:00 p.m. Please ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes prior to class start time.

NEW! Winter Yoga Session

Classes are held on Wednesdays from 6 to 7 pm

Dates: January 7, 14, 21, 28 & February 4, 11, 18, 25, 2026

Cost: $15.00 per person for a drop-in class. No need to register for the Winter session after the session begins on January 7th, 2026. Please pay upon arrival in person/cash or checks to the City of Shelton. Please sign in and pay for the class (envelope is available next to the sign in sheet).

Registration for the upcoming Spring session will be open soon on the City of Shelton Parks and Recreation website! Classes to be held on Mondays Wednesdays from 6 to 7 pm in 2026 on the following dates:

Cost: $180.00 for the full session. 9 people minimum to hold session. Drop-ins welcome at $15.00 per person after 9 people are registered.

Live Virtual Yoga Classes

Who’s ready for a 60 minute flow yoga class designed to warm the body, soothe your muscles, release stress and tension?

Join Joonbug Yoga on Sundays at 6 pm for this virtual offering open to anyone, anywhere via Zoom. We will move stagnant energy, pause and reflect with a breathing exercise and end with a guided meditation to reset and renew.

Classes will be offered live only (no recordings) to bring us into the present moment together on the following dates:

Trauma Sensitive Yoga

Trauma sensitive yoga is a special offering designed for those who have experienced trauma or PTSD. Trauma sensitive yoga is a practice that acknowledges the impact of trauma and offers a supportive environment for individuals to explore a gentle approach to yoga that promotes safety and healing.

Breathing exercises, yoga postures and guided meditation is offered throughout the practice to help calm the nervous system and bring the body, mind and spirit into balance. Michelle offers herbal teas, medicinal oils, aromatherapy and sound healing bowls are offered as needed for each session.

Michelle currently shares weekly Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TSY) at the Nisqually Indian Tribe. She has been a domestic violence advocate teaching TSY at the Chehalis Tribe and Turning Pointe Advocacy Center in Shelton, Washington since 2018. Michelle offers private sessions by appointment.
