Details: Join us for a rejuvenating, nourishing evening on the Hood Canal. Beneath the stunning backdrop of the Olympic Mountains, we'll combine two activities that go together like OJ and champagne. We'll begin on land with an hour of all-levels yoga led by Michelle Pugh, owner of Joonbug Yoga. Next, we'll hop next door to the Union boat launch, and take a leisurely paddle where we often see harbor seals, kingfishers, bald eagles, blue herons, loons, etc. Sarah (owner of Blue Horizons Paddlesports) will be your capable guide, with a decade of guiding experience under her belt and a passion for working with beginners.

"Journey Through the Chakras" Yoga Workshop

Take a journey through the chakras with Joonbug! This workshop is designed for beginning and experienced yoga students to explore the 7 major energy centers (chakras) through the use of yoga postures, handouts, essential oils, mantra (sound) and meditation to bring even more balance to the body inside and out! 

Date: Sunday, September 9th, 2018

Time: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Location: Alderbrook Resort and Spa in the Ballroom West Room, Union, WA

Details: We will move through a 90 minute yoga practice with guidance on how to use basic yoga postures, mantra and meditation appropriately in conjunction with specific essentail oil blends for each chakra to balance and renew the body inside and out! Our session ends with a guided Yoga Nidra meditation where we will journey through the chakras (yoga blankets, eye pillows and bolsters will be provided for added comfort). This class will be held in the Twanoh room at the resort. Please check in at the front desk upon arrival.

What to bring: Please dress in layers and bring a blanket, bolster or other personal yoga props for added comfort. The resort provides some yoga mats, water and herbal teas during the class.

Pre-registration required: $45.00 per person due by September 1st, 2018.

Stand-up Paddle Board Basics Workshop

Date: September 15th, 2018

Time: Session 1 - 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. & Session 2 - 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Cost: $60.00 per person per session with paddle board or $30.00 per person if you bring your own board. Pre-registration is required by September 12th, 2018.

Location: Alderbrook Resort and Spa, Union, WA

Learn the basics of paddle boarding with Joonbug Yoga! This 60 minute class introduces basic paddling techniques designed for beginners and experienced paddlers. Michelle will show you how to practice basic yoga poses on the paddle board in front of the resort dock area. The resort provides paddle boards, life jackets and paddles to use during the class (included in the cost of the workshop). New to paddling? Our class sequence is designed for beginning paddlers and Yogis! Save your space soon - we are limited to 6 paddle board rentals per session. If you have your own board, please bring your board and paddle and pay for the yoga session seperately on our rates page. Pre-registration is required for all participants. Fall "Rejuvenate" Yoga Retreat

Fall into wellness at our 2-day retreat with Joonbug Yoga and guest teachers, Elizabeth Campbell (Traditional Plants Educator), Preethie Capezio (L.M.P. and 200 Hour R.Y.T.) and Rebekah Brems (500 hour R.Y.T.), Camelia Pugh (L.P.N. and 200 hour R.Y.T.), Linda Woytowich (Woytowich Designs Owner), Jessica Roberson (200 hour R.Y.T.) and Matt Campbell (Tai Chi Instructor).

1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.: Energetics, mantra and meditation with Rebekah

3:15 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.: Gentle/restorative yoga practice followed by Yoga Nidra Meditation with Camelia

9:45 a.m. - Noon: Flow yoga detox practice designed to balance and cleanse with Michelle followed by a nurturing essential oils and locally harvested herbal tea session with Elizabeth for overall relaxation

1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.: “Create and Rejuvenate!” group session designed to dive deeper into your creative self through the practices of meditation, gentle yoga, journaling and art with Linda and Preethie

MONTHLY EVENTS

Full Moon Yoga at Alderbrook Resort and Spa!

Full moon yoga is held at 7:00 p.m. on the full moon each month. Please call the resort or visit www.AlderbrookResort.com for more information!

Cost: Class is complimentary to hotel guests and $10.00 per person for non-hotel guests. Please pay at the front desk prior to attending class. Visit Alderbrook Resort and Spa for more information. Joonbug Yoga class cards are not valid at this location (class is held indoors during the Fall and Winter months and on the waterfront in the Spring and Summer months). 

Details: Experience a one hour moonlit yoga session led by Michelle Pugh! This class is designed for all levels of experience (beginners welcome!) in a beautiful setting along the shores of Hood Canal at Alderbrook. Take in the brightness of the full moon and revel in the opportunity to start fresh in the coming month. Yoga mats and heaters will be provided.
