Michelle Pugh, owner of Joonbug Yoga, is a traveling Yogini and 200 Hour Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT) with 500 additional hours of certification through various schools of yoga including Living Spirit YogaYogaFit®, Forrest Yoga® and Twist Yoga in Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin yoga. She is also certified in Ayurveda on the Mat, Thai Yoga Bodywork, LaStone Hot Stone Bodywork and Usui Reiki. She has over 9 years of teaching experience which led to sharing two successful 200 hour yoga teacher trainings (2014-2016). Joonbug Yoga was nominated for Business of the Year by the Shelton Mason County Chamber of Commerce in 2014.

Her professional path was grounded in family, creativity and movement since childhood. Michelle enjoys spending time with her husband and son (skiing, fly fishing, gardening and creating) while staying in touch with a profound connection to the natural elements that inspire her yoga practice.

Michelle established Joonbug Yoga in 2010 with a passion to blend her professional creative talents with health, wellness and community. Her diverse fitness experience comes from over 30 years of athletics, ballet and dedicated yoga training. Michelle's yoga classes blend creativity, strength, balance, flexibility and flow blooming straight from the heart! 

Her expertise in marketing and visual communication is rooted in her graphic design career. She graduated from The Art Institute of Seattle in 1998 and has been employed as a Senior Graphic Designer for the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission since 2001. Michelle previously worked for The Olympian Newspaper, The Tacoma News Tribune and Indian Country Today Newspaper and continues to design websites and print publications through her freelance business, Joonbug Graphic Design.

Michelle teaches Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra Meditation, Yoga Fitness, Employee Wellness Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Kids Yoga, Yoga for Seniors, Beginning Yoga, Heated Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga, Aqua Yoga, Waterfront Yoga, Full Moon Yoga and Stand-up Paddle Board Yoga and offers private Yoga, Reiki and Thai Yoga Bodywork sessions on site or at your location. Michelle's private sessions combine holistic practices utilizing yoga and meditation practicies. LaStone, Thai Yoga Bodywork, essential oils, herbs, Chakra energy balancing gems, crystals and stones may be added for increasing balance, health and wellness inside and out. Michelle offers private group yoga classes upon request at your location.

She enjoys traveling to various locations offering a diverse menu of creative services, group yoga classes, private yoga sessions, health and wellness workshops and retreats. She teaches yoga at Alderbrook Resort and Spa, the Olympia Golf and Country Club, the Skokomish Tribe Health Clinic, the Nisqually Tribe Youth and Community Center, the Billy Frank Jr. Conference Center, Squaxin Island Tribe, Washington State Department of Labor and Industries and the Salmon Center. Michelle offers private sessions, wellness retreats and events throughout the year at Alderbrook and other locations. She enjoys volunteering at the Nisqually Community Garden, the South Puget Intertribal Planning Agency (SPIPA) community events, the Skokomish Health Clinic Health Fair and Alderbrook Resort and Spa's St. Paddle's Day event annually.
